Gas Units:

The Porky's Gas Fireplace Service is a flat fee at a fair value plus any parts required. At Porky’s, we believe in transparent pricing—no hidden “fuel or shop fee” or “truck charges.” Your fireplace will be serviced by a TSSA-certified gas fitter with over 10 years of hands-on fireplace experience. Our comprehensive service includes:

✔ Detailed cleaning of glass and unit

✔ Adding fresh embers for a beautiful flame

✔ Replacing remote or ignition batteries

✔ Checking gas line and venting for proper operation

Wood Units:

We service wood inserts, stoves and zero-clearance wood fireplaces in your home. This is an inspection done by a Porky's staff member certified as an expert by WETT, our industry’s gold-standard, for cracks, sealing and proper operation. We inspect the units to ensure that they are installed correctly and with compliance to building codes and regulations. It may include a visit to the roof to examine the chimney for any potential structural or ventilation issues.

With wood burning appliances, the potential for harmful pollutants to be released into your home as well as combustible materials to ignite is increased, so it is important that these appliances are regularly inspected and properly maintained.

A formal WETT Certification, which stands for Wood Energy Technology Transfer, is a thorough inspection by a certified WETT inspector. An CSA approval letter is provided upon request.
